The Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) annually presents TGCL scholarship for any eligible international students. The eligible courses of the scholarship are LLM and PhD in law. These can be taken both in Germany and Tanzania. Please note that only applicants from East African Community Partner States may participate in. The TGCL scholarship will cover tuition fees, insurance and other living allowances. Please send your application before 17 February 2017.
Applications are invited, especially from candidates in the East African Community Partner States (i.e. Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda), for entry into a postgraduate study programme in law (LLM or PhD) offered by the Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL).
The TGCL scholarship will cover university fees, health insurance, the cost of living (including miscellaneous charges).

Eligibility and Criteria
The requirements for admission to the LLM and PhD programmes are those applicable at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law, i.e. for the LLM programme a Bachelor degree in law (LLB) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher legal education, and for the PhD programme an excellent LLM degree from a recognized institution.
Students from East African Community Partner States (i.e. Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) may apply this scholarship.
