SFC annually accepts applications for the SECH Award. This award is exclusively available for a U.S undergraduate students in California who are interested to study in Sweden. Each of awardees will be granted up to $3.000.00. To apply, the application package must be submitted no later than the last day of February each year.
The purpose of the SECH shall be to support students undertaking Swedish educational and cultural activities, which would be broadly interpreted to include such varied areas as history, political science, sociology, language, literature, and the arts and sciences. The SECH is awarded annually to a student at an accredited college or university in California. Proposed study in Sweden is assumed to include a Swedish perspective merely by virtue of being carried out in Sweden.
Each of the selected applicants will be granted up to 3.000.00 , payable ½ before and ½ upon arrival in Sweden.
Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate in one of the following fields: history, political science, sociology, language, literature, and the arts and sciences.
Place of Study
The program will be taken in Sweden.
Eligibility and Criteria
All interested candidates of this SECH Award are expected to meet the criteria as follow:
- be a citizen or resident alien of the United States.
- minimum age 18 years
- enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited institution of study in the United States.
- minimum GPA of 3.25, verified by transcript.
