NMRC Research Training Fellowship for Health Professionals

Applicants are now invited to apply the NMRC Fellowship. This award is available for talented clinicians, health science professionals from Singapore. The fellows are expected to do relevant research and training at any local institution. Each of the successful applicants will be granted up to S$500,000. All submission must be received no later than 29 May 2017.

Fellowship Description
The NMRC Research Training Fellowship is awarded to outstanding and talented clinicians, health science professionals (e.g., nurses, pharmacists) and biostatisticians for overseas research training or to pursue a graduate degree in research in local institutions. Applicants may apply for (i) local training leading to a graduate degree (preferably PhD) or (ii) Overseas Research Attachment.

Value and Duration
Those are selected will receive S$500,000 per awardee over 2-3 years (extendable to 4 years for PhD degree).

Level and Area of Studies
Research or PhD/master degree in health and medical related studies.

Place of Study
The program can be taken in Singapore.

Eligibility and Criteria
Local Training Leading to a PhD or Master’s Degree:
This category is open to a) medical doctors/dental surgeons who are registered with the Singapore Medical Council/Dental Board, b) health science professionals (e.g., nurses, pharmacists) and c) biostatisticians.

Applicants must be either Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents, and must be working in a public institution in Singapore. They will also be required to serve a bond with the Government of Singapore upon the completion of their training.
