Applications for the MDA Scholarship are now invited. Eligible students should be enrolled at music program. Up to $700 CAD will be given to the winners. To apply, all required documents must be received no later than June 11th, 2017.
Musicians’ Dream Aid is proud offer an annual scholarship for young musicians under 20 years of age. The MDA Scholarship must be used towards the tuition of a music school or program.
Applicants must submit videos of two contrasting performances, and these are judged by an adjudicator. This year we are offering our winner a scholarship of $700 CAD and our runner-up a scholarship of $300. The deadline for applications is June 11th, 2017.
One scholarship of $700 (CAD) and one scholarship of $300 (CAD) will be offered.
Level and Area of Studies
Any students enrolled in a music program or school under the age of 20 (Elementary School, High School, Undergraduate, College).
Place of Study
The scholarship is for students studying at a music program or school. It is not limited to Canadian schools if the applicant has Canadian citizenship.
Eligibility and Criteria
- All young musicians who have Canadian citizenship or are living in Canada and are under the age of 20 on June 11th, 2017 are eligible. The winner of the 2016 MDA Scholarship is not eligible.
- Applicants will be judged based on their technical and musical proficiency, musical background, and how they intend to use the scholarship should they receive it. The scholarship must go towards the tuition of a music school or program. The winner will be required to submit a written testimonial on how the scholarship has helped their musical education which MDA may use for promotional purposes. Details will be provided when receiving the scholarship.
The scholarship is open to students who are living in Canada as well as those with Canadian citizenship.
