The Harry Worthington Scholarships are now open any prospective PhD students at the University of Sheffield in the UK. This scholarships are available for EU, UK and international students who plan to undertake doctoral degree at the university. Each of the successful candidates may expect to receive up to £14,296 for the 2017/2018 round. Please submit your application due to February 3, 2017.
In 2017 round, there are two Harry Worthington Scholarships that available to applicants wishing to undertake doctoral study in any Faculty of the University for entry in 2017-18. These scholarships were founded under the will of Miss Doreen Worthington in memory of her father Harry, a local steel manufacturer, and are awarded to two outstanding new PhD applicants.
Please bear in mind that the scholarship will be given based on academic performance of the candidates.
A Harry Worthington Scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees (UK, EU or Overseas) and provides an annual, tax-free maintenance stipend at the standard UK Research rate (14,296 in 2016/17).

Eligibility and Criteria
Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, a first or upper second class UK honours degree or equivalent qualifications gained outside the UK in an appropriate area of study.
Applicants should be applying to start your first year of study with the University in 2017-18 on a full-time or part-time programme of doctoral study
