The FAO World Food Day Contest is now open. Individuals from any national are welcome to apply. They must be between 13 and 19 years of age. To apply, the contestants must submit video or poster relating to World Food Day theme. A range of interesting benefits will be given to the winning candidates. Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) is pleased to announce its World Food Day Contest. The contest is open to children and youth between the ages of 13 to 19, living anywhere in the world. The students can enter in the 2016 competition either by designing a poster or produce a video on the World Food Day theme. FAO creates and shares critical information about food, agriculture, and natural resources in the form of global public goods.

Eligibility and Criteria
- The Contest is open to children and youth between the ages of 5 and 19, living anywhere in the world.
- The age to declare in the entry form is the one at the time of entering the Contest. Minors must have the permission of their parents or legal guardians to participate in the Contest.
- FAO employees and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter the contests. FAO will determine eligibility at its sole discretion.
- Partners or relations of partner staff of the institutions involved in the launch of contests and relations of the judging committee are not eligible to compete.
There is no nationality restriction.
To apply, all contestants are required to provide video or poster in the theme of World Food Day.
