The Ameen Rihani Scholarship is now open to Lebanese Americans and other Arab Americans Student who enrolling undergraduate degree at any U.S universities. The candidates should study Literature, Philosophy, or Political Science. The selected candidates will be awarded $1,500. Closing date of application is 1 March 2015.
The Ameen Rihani Scholarship (ARS), funded by a grant from the Ameen Rihani Organization, was established in 2002 to provide Lebanese Americans and other Arab Americans with an opportunity to complete a college education, particularly those intending to study literature, philosophy, or political science. The goal of ARS was to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding students to reach their fullest potential.
Maximum $1,500 will be awarded to each winners of the ARS Scholarship.

Undergraduate degree in the field of Literature, Philosophy, or Political Science.

Eligibility and Criteria
The candidates will be included into consideration if they:
1. Are of Lebanese or other Arab descent;
2. Are citizens/legal permanent residents of the United States;
3. Have attained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale;
4. Will enter a college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking freshman in the fall of
the year (students who are already in college are not eligible for an ARS award);
5.Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities.
